The Elysian Bar's all-day menu is inspired by seasonal ingredients that are locally and conscientiously sourced to please even the most discerning palate. Dishes are meant to be shared with friends and lovers – and designed to be enjoyed from morning to night.

THE ELYSIAN BAR

The ground floor of the former Rectory, a progression of increasingly fantastical spaces, welcomes hotel guests and the public alike. We have partnered with the wine-loving folks at Bywater icon Bacchanal to offer locally-roasted Congregation coffee, domestic and niche wines, specialty cocktails, low-proof aperitivo cocktails, and a selection of shareable plates in a series of lovely, restored rooms.

The former side chapel of the Rectory, transformed into a trompe l’oeil citrus grove, now houses our café, proudly serving locally roasted Congregation Coffee.

The heart of our house, ideal for reading, socializing and sipping. The rectory’s pair of grand parlors features functioning Italianate marble fireplaces and a smattering of French and Italian bamboo and rattan vintage pieces, plus a suite of national and international periodicals for your reading pleasure.

Sun Room 

The perfect place to enjoy a sun-dappled breakfast; windows open on fair-weather days. The room drew inspiration from the red and white tiles and citron yellow walls of Claude Monet’s home in Giverny. Simple wooden furniture lines the glass walls, which are dressed in full-length linen lace sheers, and vines cascade down to create a verdant all-season escape.

Our chinoiserie fantasy brought to life, a fully amber-hued room with fretwork on all walls and a suspended bamboo ceiling above. Our partners at Bacchanal, the celebrated Bywater wine store & bar, have channeled their passion into an expertly curated wine and cocktails list. Classic cocktails, original concoctions, and an aperitivo-focused bar round out The Elysian Bar's offerings. Every day in the early evening before dinner, join for aperitivo hour for the most delicious low-proof spritzes in town.

Courtyard

Historic New Orleans boasts an abundance of secluded brick courtyards, coursed with palms, ferns and vines, which are mostly in private hands. We are proud to join this romantic firmament and pleased as punch to share ours with you.
